ACTA Press is committed to making high-quality research accessible to the global scientific community. Our OA policy ensures that authors can disseminate their work widely while retaining the rights to their intellectual property.

1. OA Options

  • Gold Open Access: The final published version of the article is freely available to all readers immediately upon publication. An Article Processing Charge (APC) applies and varies by journal.

2. Licensing

Open Access articles are published under a Creative Commons (CC) license, allowing authors to retain copyright while granting broad permissions for use and sharing. The default license is CC BY 4.0, which permits:

  • Sharing (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format)
  • Adaptation (remix, transform, and build upon the material)

Proper attribution is required.

Alternate licenses (e.g., CC BY-NC, CC BY-ND) may be available upon request.

3. APCs and Discounts

  • APC amounts vary by journal and are posted on each journal’s Rates page.
  • Authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries (as classified by the World Bank) may qualify for a full or partial waiver.
  • Discount and waiver requests must be submitted at the time of submission and are evaluated individually.

4. Third-Party Content

If a manuscript contains third-party materials (figures, tables, images, etc.) not covered by the article’s CC license, it is the author's responsibility to secure permissions for Open Access use.
